Two-day intensive training in Follonica

Despite the pandemic, the Talent project goes straight towards its goals mixing online and onsite meetings.

The “Capannino” rink in Follonica hosted a two-day intensive training meeting last week, where Quim Pauls – as project director – and Follonica Hockey’s trainers and players were involved.

At the present moment, Italy is the only place in Europe where children aged 10 to 13 can regularly train and play. That’s why some of the trainers involved in the Talent project met there.

Follonica Hockey’s trainers Sergio Silva, Franco Polverini and Massimo Bracali worked together with Quim Pauls and the U11 and U13 teams focusing on skating skills and stick-and-ball skills.

“Teaching to teachers” through concrete work with children on the rink is the main goal of the Talent project. The pandemic forced Talent’s promoters to imagine and realise online teaching, but “physical” meetings like Follonica’s one are simply irreplaceable. Besides being amazing!
